O'SHEA RETURN TO AUSTRALIA TO PERFORM AT THE OPENING CELEBRATION OF THE 40^TH JAYCO TAMWORTH COUNTRY MUSIC FESTIVAL & CMC ROCKS THE HUNTER 2012.

NOMINATED IN TWO CATEGORIES FOR THE 40^TH JAYCO CMAA COUNTRY MUSIC AWARDS OF AUSTRALIA

2011 has been an amazing year for Nashville based Australian born, husband and wife duo, O’Shea. So far this year Mark & Jay O’Shea have given birth to their first daughter and released their debut album MR. AND MRS through Sony Music, in the process scoring a place in the Top 10 on the ARIA Country Album Chart. They have also achieved two #1 singles on CMC’s Top 50 Most Requested Countdown, and to top it off they have been nominated in the categories of Telstra New Talent of the Year and Group or Duo of the Year for the 40^th Jayco CMAA Country Music Awards of Australia.

The pair plan to start 2012 with a bang when they return home for a string of dates starting with appearances at the 40^th Jayco Tamworth Country Music Festival where they will take to the stage at Bicentennial Park for the Opening Celebration Concert and then their own headline show at Wests’ Diggers Showroom.

From there they will head to Western Queensland where Mark was raised for a one-off show at the Queensland Hotel, Goondiwindi, followed by an “Album Launch” at Notes @ Newtown in Sydney and then a set at the Whittlesea Country Music Festival in Victoria. Their Australian visit will culminate in the Hunter Valley where Mark & Jay will once again host the 2012 CMC Music Awards and the Televised Coverage of the Festival. On Sunday night they will then take the stage to perform between Wynona Judd and Tim McGraw & Faith HIll at CMC Rocks The Hunter as part of one of the biggest line-ups of country music Australia has ever seen.

“We’re so proud to have received these nominations for the 40^th Jayco CMAA Awards and to have been asked to be a part of the Opening Celebration to kick-off the Tamworth Country Music Festival. We just can’t wait to get home and play.” Mark commented. “This is the first time I've been nominated for an award like this" adds Jay, "and I'm absolutely thrilled to be in such great company! CMC Rocks was so much fun this year and it’s going to be even bigger and better in 2012! And this time I won’t be 6 months pregnant!”

‘When The Girls Get Together’, the anthemic fourth single from MR. AND MRS. was co-written with Grammy Award winner, Shawn Colvin and is released to media today.
