Countdown to CMC Rocks the Hunter

Now that we’re less than 90 days away from the biggest international country and roots festival in the Southern Hemisphere for 2012, we’ve decided to drop you all a line every now and again and keep you posted on some important CMC RTH news.

NEW ALBUMS ON THE WAY

Just in time for the festival, some of our international artists have new albums on the way. Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Dierks Bentley and Sherrie Austin will all release new albums early this year, and we can expect to hear some tracks from those when they take to the stage at CMC Rocks the Hunter 2012.

PLAYING TIMES

Artist playing times are now up on the website. Click here to see when your favourite artists are performing.

CHAIRS

We’re getting a lot of questions from folks about what you are allowed to bring onto the site in terms of chairs. To make sure this is clear, here is the official policy for chairs:

The guideline for chairs is that low profile chairs (30cm leg height) and inflatable chairs are allowed into the festival.  Any other fold up/director chairs will not be allowed onto the site this is to ensure that any seating will not cause obstruction to others. There will also be a large semi circle ‘chair free’ zone from the mixing console area to the front of the stage that will be marked.

CAMPERS’ BAR

The Campers Bar will be operating once again exclusively for camping patrons from 11pm – 2am on Friday and Sat and 10pm – 1am Sunday. Travis List will perform on Friday, Doug Bruce and the Tailgaters on Saturday and Ross Ward’s Express on the Sunday.

CAMERAS

In previous years, there has been some confusion about cameras. In 2012, a compact digital camera for personal photos only is allowed. The following equipment will not be permitted inside the venue under any circumstances:

SLR camera

Video Camera

Telephoto Lenses

Lenses capable of 150mm zoom
